Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
Last week MVP candidate Russell Wilson threw 5 TD’s including the game winner in OT to beat the Bucs. The flipside is the Seahawks needed OT and 5 TD’s from Wilson to beat the Bucs. The once vaunted Legion of Boom has allowed 27 offensive TD’s. Only the Bucs (28), Cards (30), Falcons (30), ‘Phins (30), and Giants (30) have allowed more. These 5 teams have combined for 9 wins compared to the Seahawks’ 7.
The 49ers passing attack has improved with the addition of Emmanuel Sanders at WR. Last week Jimmy G had his best game of the season against the Cardinals where even his incompletions were thrown well. The 3-headed monster of Breida, Coleman, and Mostert has the team 2nd in the NFL in rushing. The temptation exists to label this a must-win game for the Seahawks pertaining to the divisional race. However, similar to the Patriots in week 9 the 49ers will begin their own brutal 2nd half schedule in this game which includes the Seahawks (x2), Packers, Ravens, Saints, and Rams. And we all know the outcome of the Patriots/Ravens game.
